Description
The Thomas chest tomb, located about 6 metres south of the south transept of the Church of St. Mary, is an early 19th-century chest tomb made of limestone, featuring a shallow hipped sandstone top. It has ramped corner pilasters adorned with carved ivy and a rosette at the top. There are inscription panels on the north and south sides, commemorating Shadrach Thomas, who died in 1837, along with other family members.
