Description

Fieldgrove House is a late 18th-century building, originally listed as Fieldgrove Farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed pennant stone rubble with quoins and freestone dressings. The roof is hipped, now tiled with stone coping. The symmetrical three-storey front has three windows, with glazing bar sashes and plain architraves; the ground floor window on the left has a panelled pediment feature supported by brackets. A central portico features four Tuscan columns and a flat entablature with a low frieze, leading to double half-glazed doors. On the south return, there are two arched windows on the ground floor. The hall fireplace has an egg and dart surround, and there is an archway into the stairhall.
