Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located about 3 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. James the Great in Wick and Abson. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base. The tomb has fluted corner pilasters and fluted central pilasters on the north and south sides, along with a cornice. There are paired raised oval inscription panels on the north and south, which are adorned with foliage carved in the spandrels. The inscriptions have worn away over time.
