Description

Northmead Farmhouse is a building dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, which has been altered. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has a modern pantile roof with plain eaves, which has removed the attic gables. The farmhouse has two storeys above a basement and features three windows with glazing bar sashes set in exposed frames. There is a small flat-roofed porch with an architrave door opening and an oblong fanlight. Above the porch, there is an altered carved heraldic shield. To the left, there is a two and a half storey return with a gable attic, which includes one range of cross-mullion windows dating from around 1700, along with a central glazing bar sash and dripmoulds.
