Description
This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 12 metres southwest of the tower of the Church of St. Peter, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge. The base is sunken into the ground, and there are pilasters with raised panels at the corners and centrally on the north side. On the north side, there are paired square inscription panels, while the south side has a large oval cartouche adorned with carved spandrels and a moulded rectangular surround. The tomb commemorates Thomas Strange, who died in 1771, along with other family members.
