Description

The Bedford Tomb, located 22 yards north of the center of the north aisle of the Parish Church of St Mary, is a late 18th-century chest tomb made of limestone ashlar. It features square panels, enriched pilasters, an entablature, and a moulded cornice, along with corner columns that have enriched capitals. This tomb is part of a notable collection of classical and local tomb styles and significantly enhances the church's setting.
