Description

Barmer's Lands Farmhouse and attached granary is a 17th-century farmhouse with early 19th-century refacing and an extension. The farmhouse has a double-roman tile roof. The main block is two storeys high and has three windows, all being two-light casements. A central gabled porch features a half-glazed door with stained glass margins. A chimney rises from the right hip of the left side of the building. Behind this is a similar wing with a large central stack. A further steep gabled range fills the angle behind the main block. Attached to this is a low two-storey granary. The ground floor of the granary has plain doors, while on the first floor, doors rise as raking eaves dormers; the one on the left is accessed by a dog-leg flight of eight solid stone steps. The interior is believed to be of interest.
