Description
This barn, located 40 metres west of Hambrook House, dates from the 17th century, with possible earlier origins in the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a pantile roof with stone slates at the eaves. The barn has a central entrance, and the square head of the entrance was lowered when a floor was inserted. Two timber mullion windows on the first floor were also altered. The other elevations are plain, except for ventilation slits on the east side and a first-floor door on the west side. The roof consists of four bays supported by collar and tie beam trusses, with two tiers of through purlins and occasional straight windbraces.
