Description

  1. 5118 BITTON MILL LANE Upton Cheyney Upton Farmhouse. Adjoining outbuilding to right ST 6970 13/38 11.5.53 II 2. Mid-C17. Rubble, pantile roof with stone lower courses, later brick chimneys, 2 dormer gables to front. Two storeys and attics in gables. Three windows, 3-light leaded casements with moulded wooden mullions, dripmoulds, single transoms to ground floor right. Central gabled 'solid' stone porch with modern door in moulded frame, seats inside and blocked window to one side (oval on the inside). Projecting gabled wing to right of one and a half storeys, 2-light attic window with dripmould, rusticated oval window at top of gable. Door to left with gable; left hand return has door with chamfered surround and window under continued drip. Rear elevation similar to front, single storey wing to left with chamfered door surround and window under continued drip. Two storey outbuilding extension to right. Interior altered, ground floor right-hand room has cambered head to fireplace. A number of casements retain decorative fasteners.
