Description
Dodmoor Old Farmhouse is a 17th-century building that has been converted into a stable. It is constructed from random pennant rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof. The farmhouse is designed in an L-shape with a former through passage and stands two storeys high with two windows. On the ground floor, there are three stable doors, two steep gables that rise to the ridge height, a loading door to the left, and a two-light casement window to the right, all of which have timber lintels. There is a lower wing attached to the left that also has two stable doors.
The right side of the building has a blocked window in the gable end and a corrugated iron lean-to. The rear of the farmhouse mirrors the front with two gables, a blocked window in the right gable, a blocked door from the former through passage, and a blocked two-light casement window on the ground floor to the right. There is also a later 17th-century lower 1½ storey rear wing to the left, which has a gable end facing the rear and a small gable that reaches ridge height on the right, along with a small door to the right that has a timber lintel. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse was abandoned in the 19th century when a new farmhouse was built.
