Description
The Harwood monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 2 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St. James. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of freestone. The tomb features a moulded slab, ornate corner balusters, and stylized foliate ends. On the north side, there are two plain panels, while the south side displays a cartouche with text between fielded panels. It has a moulded base and plinth, commemorating John Harwood, who passed away in 1758.
