Description
Pucklechurch House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a rear wing added in the early 19th century and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble with stone dressings, and has slate roofs with raised coped verges and gable stacks. The rear wing creates an L-shaped plan. The main part of the house is two storeys high with five windows, all of which are sash windows set in flat stone surrounds. The central entrance has engaged Doric columns, a triglyph frieze, and a pediment. The building has a plinth, a string course below the window sills of the first floor, a cornice, a parapet, and coping. The right return side features a similar sash window on the ground floor. A large, two-storey rear wing has various 20th-century windows and a door. An attached 20th-century garage is also present. The left return of the rear wing has a first-floor sash window to the right, a two-light casement to the left, roof lights, and a lower two-storey block attached to the rear with a single similar casement window at the first floor. The interior was not inspected. The building has group value.
