Description

The Adams monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 5 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. Oswald. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a hipped top resting on a plinth, with plain shafts at each corner. There are inscription panels on the north and south sides, framed in a grooved surround, and it has a moulded base plinth. The monument commemorates Fanny Adams, who passed away in 1831, along with other members of the family.
