Description

Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It features a combination of rubble and brick construction, rendered on the exterior, and has a double Roman tiled hipped roof with stacks at both the north and south ends. The front of the building is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and three windows, all of which are sash windows with cills. The central bay is slightly projected, and there is a central six-panelled door topped with a decorative fanlight. The farmhouse has a 20th-century open brick porch with a hipped roof, which replaced an earlier trellis porch. Additional architectural details include a rubble plinth, a cill string course, and overhanging eaves.

On the left side of the building, there is an external stair leading to a door that has a similar porch. A sash window is located on the first floor to the left, and there is a cellar window with four panes and a segmental brick head. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with two windows, one of which is a sash window with a segmental head on the first floor to the left. There is also a single-storey addition with two windows, one with four panes and another with two panes, along with a plank door.

Inside, the entrance hall features a round-headed arch with impost blocks, a straight open-string stair with a wreathed handrail, and six-panelled doors.
