Description
This is an 18th-century chest tomb located about 2 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. James the Great in Abson. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge. The tomb has quarter balusters and a fluted cornice, with paired inscription panels on the north and south sides. The north side also has shaped panels that include a central acanthus leaf design. Unfortunately, the inscriptions have worn away over time.
