Description

No. 40 Castle Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered stone and features a pantile roof with gabled ends, along with a brick stack on the right. The house is a small terraced structure with one bay and a small wing at the rear.

The exterior consists of two storeys and an attic, with a one-bay front. It has 20th-century two- and three-light casement windows in segmental-headed openings, and an attic window located in a raking dormer. The doorway is positioned on the left and features a panelled door with a pitched-roof canopy. The gable-ended wing is located on the right at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
