Description
The Gay monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 8 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. James the Great. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top and square quarter columns, with inscriptions on all sides, including those dedicated to John Gay, who passed away in 1802, as well as other family members.
