Description
The Harris monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 10 metres south of the tower of the Church of St. James the Great. It dates from the 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and quarter balusters, along with a fluted frieze. There are paired inscription panels on the north and south sides, with the northern panel adorned with winged cherubs, a central crown, and other symbols. It commemorates Thomas Harris, who died in 1794, along with other family members.
