Description
Cleeve Lodge is a late 18th-century building now situated in a modern housing development. The front is made of red brick on a pennant stone plinth, with freestone dressings, while the other sides are rendered. The building has three storeys, with the front divided into three sections by stone pilasters. It features a moulded cornice and a rendered brick parapet topped with stone coping. There are three windows on the front: the outer ones are tripartite sashes with flat heads, stone keys, and stepped voussoirs, while the central window is round-headed, also with keys and impost blocks, and has cills supported by small cut-stone brackets. The central doorway is arched and has an impressive doorcase with an open dentilled pediment resting on composite half-columns, leading to a panelled door beneath a radiating fanlight. A verandah that once existed at the front has been removed. To the right, there is a return with three windows. Inside, the original staircase is located near the entrance.
