Description

The Hollester chest tomb, located about 7 metres north of the nave of the Church of St. Mary, is a mid-18th century limestone structure. It features a flat top with a moulded edge and scroll and acanthus carvings on the east and west sides. The north and south panels display a double inscription, which is badly worn, along with decorative carvings that include flowers between the panels. The earliest decipherable date on the tomb is 1744, commemorating William Hollester and other family members.
