Description
The balustrade, wall, and stair located about 18 meters west of Dyrham House were constructed around 1695. This structure serves as the boundary of the forecourt to the west of Dyrham House and is made of limestone with ashlar walls. The wall is approximately 30 meters long and is divided into two sections on either side of a central stairway, with each side further divided into three sections featuring dividing dies with raised panels and a balustrade. The double straight stair is flanked by walls and has a balustrade that ramps down on each side, ending with terminal square piers and plinths.
