Former Stables, Barns and Groom's Cottages, Workshops, Carriage Shed, Stable 15 Yards South of Petty France Hotel

These former stables, barns, and groom’s cottages, along with workshops, a carriage shed, and a stable, date to the early 18th century and the 19th century. They are now used as hotel rooms, storage space, and staff accommodation. The buildings are constructed of rubble, with some areas painted or rendered, and have Cotswold stone slate roofs.

The north section comprises a house, now a flat and storage area, with two storeys and three windows and one door. The first floor features modern two-light casements. The west section includes workshops, a barn, and a carriage shed. It has two carriage entrances, one with a blocked segmental head, and a loft door on the first floor to the left. The southwest section, formerly stables, is now hotel rooms and features eight windows with doors between. The windows are modern, consisting of two-light cross windows, and the doors are plank. The south section originally housed two grooms’ cottages and is now flats. It is rendered, two storeys high, with two windows and a central door on the ground floor and six windows on the first floor (two blocked). The windows are predominantly three-light cross windows with some two-light casements, and a panelled door. These outbuildings were originally associated with the Old Beaufort Arms Inn, now known as Bodkin House.
