Description
The Petty France Hotel is a house that has been converted into a hotel, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is rendered and features a slate roof with ashlar stacks. It has a U-shaped plan with two gabled, projecting wings connected by a single-storey, ground-floor central section. This central section includes two glazing bar sash windows and a central panelled door set within a Tuscan doorcase topped by an entablature. On the first floor, there are two windows: a two-light casement under a segmental head to the left and a four-light casement under a semi-circular head to the right, both adorned with circle and teardrop fanlights. Each wing has a single window, which is a glazing bar sash in a plain stone surround, and the left wing features a bay window on the ground floor.
