Description

The Ford monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard about 7 metres south of the tower of the Church of St. Oswald. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone, featuring a moulded sandstone domed top set on a moulded plinth. The monument has inscription panels on all sides, adorned with decorative spandrels and a reeded base. It commemorates John Ford, who died in 1832, along with other family members.
