Description

The Crew monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 10 metres northwest of the tower of the Church of St. Peter. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone set on a moulded sandstone plinth. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and plain quarter balusters, with inscriptions on all sides. It commemorates Mary Crew, who passed away in 1833, along with other family members, with the earliest decipherable date being 1831.
