Description
Cox chest tomb is located in the churchyard about 13 metres north of the north transept of the Church of St Mary. This chest tomb dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat top supported by a coved cornice and has corner pilasters adorned with carved bunches of grapes. There are inscription panels on the north and south sides, which have moulded edges. The tomb commemorates Thomas Cox, who died in 1796, along with other members of the family.
