Description
Apex House, formerly known as Bridge House, is a mid-18th century building located on High Street in Warmley. It is constructed of coursed and painted rubble, featuring moulded stone coping along the parapet and quoins at the corners. The building stands three storeys tall and has five windows, with three located on the second floor, which were originally attics. The windows are fitted with glazing bar sashes in exposed frames and have flat brick heads above them.
The central doorway is flanked by narrow windows and is topped by a portico that has a pedimented entablature supported by two columns, with the sides filled in. The entrance features a panelled door beneath an oblong fanlight. The roof is modern and covered with pantiles, with coped end gables and three ashlar stacks. A plain band runs along the first floor level. In front of the house, there is a garden forecourt enclosed by a dwarf street wall made of rubble, which ramps up to the sides, although the railings have been removed. The interior has been converted.
