Description
The building is an orangery, now functioning as a chapel, located 100 metres north of the Dower House. It dates from around 1700 and is constructed of ashlar with a hipped slate roof. The structure is a single-storey room featuring four windows, which now contain paired, pointed lights, and a central door that is situated under a round-headed fanlight. All these elements are framed with architraves. The central three bays of the facade project slightly forward and are adorned with a fluted Corinthian pilastrade, which is now quite worn. The end bays are marked by alternating quoins and are topped with a moulded cornice and a plain parapet that bears fading lettering reading TRA--- SUA QUES-- -OLURTES. The east and west ends of the chapel feature round-headed arches with blocked imposts and keystones. The east arch is partially blocked and includes a small stained glass window, while the west arch has double doors beneath a fanlight.
