Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located about 12 metres west of the tower of the Church of St. Peter in Dyrham and Hinton. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge. The tomb is raised on a plinth with a moulded base that is set back to the north and south. It has heavy bolstered ends on the east and west sides, and a cornice on the north and south sides that includes a draped cartouche. The inscriptions on the tomb have worn away over time.
