Description

This is an early 19th-century building on the west side of High Street, Bitton. It is rendered and has a hipped roof covered with pantile double saddles. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. These windows contain late glazing to the sashes, which are set within plain architraves and have flat heads, keystones, and stepped voussoirs. A central arched doorway is topped with an open pediment supported by brackets and pilasters. The return elevation to the road has two ranges of blind windows. The north elevation is similar to the front, but is constructed of unrendered rubble and has glazing bar sash windows. This north doorway has a keystone and imposts to the arch, but lacks the pediment. Tall rendered stacks are located at each corner of the house.
