Description

Elm Farmhouse and attached barn date from the late 18th century and are located on London Road in Siston. The farmhouse is constructed of colourwashed rubble with a pantile roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys high with a three-window front, featuring modern casement windows, some with “bow” details on the ground floor. A central door is set within a modern porch imitating stone. To the left of the farmhouse is an attached barn, also of colourwashed rubble and with a pantile roof. The left verge of the barn roof is coped with a saddlestone. A projecting midstrey features double doors under a wooden lintel, and the east gable end has a pigeon loft. The barn's interior has five bays with altered trusses and a threshing floor of pennant stone.
