Description
This chest tomb, dating from 1620, is located 18 yards south of the Rood Stairtower of Holy Trinity Church in Wickwar. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a sunken inscribed panel in Latin, along with a moulded cornice. The chest tombs in this area represent a notable collection of local and classical tomb designs, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
