Description

The Gunter chest tomb, located about 10 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, is a late 18th-century chest tomb made of sandstone. It features a flat top with moulded edges and plain quarter balusters. There are oval inscription panels on the east and west sides, which include carved flowers in the spandrels on the south side. This tomb commemorates Joyce Gunter, who died in 1793, along with other family members.
