Description
The Lodge at Willsbridge Castle is a two-storey cottage built around 1800, featuring significant mid-19th century castellation. The structure is constructed from coursed lias rubble and has an overlap cornice and crenellation. The front of the building is highlighted by three large square buttresses, which have holes 'punched' through them for windows that are 2-light casements. These windows are framed on the outside by cill and lintel bands, as well as raised surrounds. To the right, there is a plain extension with a coped parapet, while to the left, a crenellated extension conceals a lean-to with a modern entrance. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, while the rear has pantiles and features two dormers. The central entrance at the rear is flanked by windows, with an arched window located above on the first floor.
