Description
St Anne's Lodge is a late 18th century mill that has been modernized. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of grey pennant rubble. The roof is covered with pantiles, although the eaves have been altered during recent repairs. There is a chimney with moulded stone copping on the east side and a weathervane on the west. The building features three windows with modern glazing bar casements and modern drips on the first floor. The ground floor windows have been altered, and there is a door located in the west gable. The west gable end includes an arched window on the first floor and a six-hole pigeon-loft to the right of it. Over the years, the mill has served various purposes, including a grist mill, and more recently, it operated as a button factory and then a glue factory.
