Description

The Crew monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 8 metres northwest of the tower of the Church of St Peter. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base. There are panels on the east and west sides adorned with swags and shaped, moulded bases. On the south side, there is an oval cartouche with carved spandrels. This monument commemorates Henry Crew, who died in 1800, along with other members of the family.
