Description
The south-east section of the premises of Dalton Young Products Limited is believed to have once been a flock mill and is thought to be one of the few remaining windmill bases in South Gloucestershire. It likely dates from the 17th century or, more probably, the 18th century. The structure has seen considerable additions. The windmill tower is constructed of rubble with random slag and features putlock holes. There is an arched doorway at the ground level, with cambered head openings above. At the angle of the two-storey outbuilding, the lower floor is made of rubble with black slag quoins, while the upper floor is a brick addition topped with a modern pantile roof. To the left, there is a wing with a hipped old pantile roof.
