Description

There are two chest tombs located approximately 25 meters and 30 meters south of the Church of St Mary Blessed Virgin in Plympton. These tombs date from the 17th century. The inscriptions are difficult to read, but one tomb is marked with the date 1638, while the other, which is farther from the church, has the dates 1672 and 1674. Both tombs are made of coursed freestone and feature projecting freestone lids, with each tomb being rectangular in shape.
