Description
The building is a pair of warehouses, partly converted, dating from 1806 as indicated by a datestone. Constructed from Plymouth limestone rubble, the warehouses feature dressed Plymouth quoins and segmental brick arches over their openings. They have low-pitched gable slate roofs that face the street, and the overall plan is roughly square. The buildings rise three storeys plus an attic, with each gable end displaying a symmetrical two-window front that includes central loading doorways and two wide ground-floor doorways, which are now blocked. The windows have been altered in the 20th century. The interior was not inspected. New Street is known for its high proportion of fine 17th and 18th-century houses, along with notable warehouses.
