Description

The village cross, located 5 yards east of Banksea Cottages in Wick St Lawrence, dates back to the 15th century. It is constructed from freestone and rubble. The cross features an octagonal calvary supported by five steps, with the first step being particularly high at 3 feet and having a heavy moulded nosing. The octagonal shaft stands on a perpendicular base and is adorned with cusped blind panels. This structure is also a scheduled ancient monument.
