Description

Olden Lodge is a mid-19th century Gothic cottage located on Hill Road. It features a two-storey front that is painted roughcast and has a slate roof with three gablets and tall stone chimneys. The eaves are adorned with fretted bargeboards. On the first floor, there are three windows with rectangular dripmoulds and ogee-headed lights. The ground floor has canted four-light stone bay windows on the sides, also with ogee tops to the lights. A central porch with fretted bargeboards completes the design. Olden Lodge is part of a group that includes No 25 with extensions, Nos 27 and 29, Cliff House, Mount Heber, the United Reformed Church Hall, and No 37.
