Description

Hill House is an early to mid-19th century house situated on a corner and notable for its zigzag pathway. The ground floor is largely obscured by modern shop fronts on the street. The front is roughcast, with a hipped slate roof that has projecting eaves and pilasters. There are two windows on each of the three storeys, alongside a painted niche in the centre. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Entrances are located on the sides of the house. The corner shop fronts are of the 19th century, featuring pilasters and capitals. Hill House forms a group with the adjacent properties at numbers 39 and 43.
