Description
The former stableblock, located immediately south-west of Leigh Court Hospital, is a building that likely dates back to 1814 and was designed by Thomas Hopper as the stableblock for Leigh Court. Constructed from ashlar with slate roofs, it consists of single-storey ranges that enclose a stableyard. The south-east and north-west ranges each have seven bays, while the south-west range has six bays. The north-east range is divided into two parts, each with two bays. The building features segmental headed sash windows and plank doors with overlights, along with some 20th-century inserted doors and windows.
