Description
Yeoman's Orchard is a former pair of cottages that has been converted into a detached house. It dates from the 17th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th century and a thorough restoration in the 20th century. The exterior is finished with colourwashed render and features a 20th-century thatched roof.
The north front is two storeys high, with the upper windows set into the thatch at eaves level as dormers. There is one original 17th-century three-light ovolo-moulded mullion window with small leaded panes located on the upper floor to the right. To the right, there are also two more recent three and four-light mullion windows. The left side has 19th and 20th-century casement windows, along with one three-light six-pane fixed window.
An offset thatched porch supported by wooden piers is located on the right side, featuring a plank door. The building has two stone chimney stacks and decorative ridge thatch with four birds. Additionally, there is a later one-storey outshut with a pantile roof on the left side.
