Description

Nos 37 and 38 High East Street are 18th-century buildings constructed of whitewashed brick with a pitched slate roof. They rise three storeys and feature a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The front facade includes four ranges of sash windows with glazing bars, although there is a modern shopfront. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 35 to 43 (consecutive), No 39A and 39B, the arch between Nos 40 and 41, and the British Legion Headquarters.
