Description
Old Bell Stores is a building that likely started as two houses but is now a combination of a house and a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of rubble and brick in Flemish bond, with a whitewashed exterior that features fake half-timbering. The roof is gable-ended and tiled, with a brick chimney stack on the right side.
The building has two storeys and a five-window range. On the ground floor, the left side has two shop windows, while the right side features one similar window and a three-light 20th-century casement window without glazing bars. On the upper floor, there are two three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars on the left, and three two-light casements with glazing bars on the right. The glazed front door is adorned with pilaster surrounds and a segmental hood supported by scrolled brackets.
