Description

74 The Cross is a cottage with a late 18th-century facade, possibly incorporating an earlier core. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers, and features exposed timber framing in the gable wall. The cottage has a thatched roof with brick stacks at either end. It stands two storeys high and has a three or four window range. The ground floor windows are set under segmental arches, while the other windows are two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. The left-hand ground and upper floor windows are very narrow. The entrance includes a glazed plank door with a blind window above.
