Description

This is a row of four attached cottages located on the north side of Main Street, Bothenhampton. They were built in the early 19th century. The cottages have roughly dressed stone walls set on a stone plinth and are topped with slate roofs featuring stone gable-copings. Brick stacks are present at the ridge, in the centre, and to the right-hand centre. The cottages have two storeys and feature four windows with two-light wooden casements containing glazing bars, along with wooden sills. The window surrounds are formed with stone arch-voussoirs. The door to number 9 is plank and dates from the 17th century. The doors to numbers 11, 13 and 15 are plank doors with thin muntins, dating from around the 19th century.
