Description

Spring Farm Cottage is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It features rubble stone walls with stone quoins and a thatched roof, which has brick stacks at each gable. The building is 1½ storeys high and has a short projecting wing on the left side. There are three windows, which are 2- and 3-light wooden casements with lead lights, set in pegged wooden frames with wooden lintels. The cottage includes one dormer with a gabled thatch roof and one half-dormer. The entrance is located at the center and is narrowed by inserted brick jambs, with a wooden lintel above that has a slight chamfer. The door is a plank style with strap hinges and dates from the 20th century.
