Description

Nos 3 and 5 on Barrack Street are late 13th-century buildings made of red brick, featuring a modern pitched pantile roof. They stand two storeys tall and have three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. There is one late 19th-century shopfront that includes arched glazing bars and a moulded cornice, along with a modern glazed door topped by a semi-circular fanlight. At the back of the building, a section of the wall may be part of Bridport's first Unitarian Meeting House, which was licensed in 1672 by John Golding, who lived at what is now No 53 East Street. Nos 3 to 11 (odd) are part of a group.
